Google official launch new version of Google earth 4 on the Google Blog. The new version of Google earth is able to support windows,Mac and Linux distribution. This has been a great news for Linux and Macs fans. Beside that, Google also come out enterprise version of Google Maps by offering a fee-based service and support for businesses that want to embed a Google Maps experience in their websites or internal applications. New features on Google Earth 4:-
- Support for "textured" 3D buildings using models created with SketchUp, so that the images look more realistic
- An updated KML format that allows sharing of partial information.
- Google Earth in French, Italian, German, and Spanish.
- Full screen mode now allows searching (press "/" to search).
- Now Google Earth is an universal binary, so it runs natively on both PowerPC- and x86 (Intel)-based Macintosh computer.
